Since October 2009, 5 provinces in China - Guangxi, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan have suffered the worst draught in decades. This draught's magnitude and length is rarely seen in south western China and has caused extensive damage and hardship to the livelihood of over 6 million people.

Over 2 million people has dysdipsia. Inhabitants in some draught affected areas only can wash their face once a week, wash their utensils once a week. Some villagers have even lost their lives trying to get water for their village. The draught is getting worst, more and more people are having difficulty accessing water and food. The meteorological department has issued a statement saying the draught is expected to continue till mid May.

On 8th April 2010, Perfect (China) Co., Ltd. (Perfect China) held its "Welcome Spring Charity Dinner" at the Zhongshan city stadium. The dinner's original purpose was to thank Perfect China's stockist for their hard work and effort to introduce our products to tens of thousands of household and individuals. Upon seeing the severity of the draught, Perfect China's top management immediately to change the theme of the dinner to focus on charity aid for the draught and do their bit to bring warmth and love to the victims.  

From the red carpet entrance to the stage backdrop with the message "Perfect China showers love and care amidst the draught", the atmosphere was one of compassion, kindness and  gratitude. The objective of the evening, to raise funds to help the victims of the draught was well achieved with RMB 500 million raised.

The Secretary General of the China Women's Development Foundation accepted the donation on behalf of the affected provinces.  In a tearful speech, she expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Perfect China and its stockist for their compassion and generous contribution.
